Who We Are
Maria's Sunshine & Dreams Fund was started as a tangible way to keep the memory of Maria Nash Anderson alive. Maria had a huge heart for children; serving on missions trips while attending Roberts Wesleyan college, volunteering in the local community, and working as a Youth caseworker for Genesee County Department of Social Services--Maria's goal was always to make a better life for other children. Maria battled cancer with a smile on her face, sharing joy and hope to friends, family and all those she came in contact with. Cancer did not define Maria; she knew that good can always come out of challenge.
Through generous donations from community members in the Western New York area, Maria's Sunshine & Dreams Fund provides needed supplies and "sunshine" baskets for children and their families facing medical hardships. We are proud to partner with the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, NY. as well as other local child focused non-profit organizations. 100% of all proceeds go to directly to spreading a little bit of Maria's sunshine to families in Genesee and surrounding counties facing a difficult season in life.
