Maria (Nash) Anderson was pure sunshine to everyone she knew and met. She was raised in upstate New York and graduated from Gilboa Central School in 2004. Relocating to Rochester to attend Roberts Wesleyan College, Maria graduated with a degree in Social Work in 2008. She worked as a Youth Caseworker for the Genesee County Department of Social Services in Batavia, fulfilling her dream of making a difference in the lives of many children and their families. Maria was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Adamantinoma in 2010. She had a tough battle ahead; undergoing many surgeries and visits to specialists in NYC, but she met every challenge with a smile on her face. She had great support from friends and family including her loving husband Andrew Anderson, of Oakfield-Alabama, whom she married in September 2011. In March 2012; at the age of 25, she went home to her Lord after her fearless battle. She is deeply missed every day, but we were all blessed by knowing and loving her. Maria’s generosity and infectious smile live on with her memory, and in each of the lives touched by the Sunshine & Dreams Fund. The Anderson and Nash family wish to express their sincere appreciation for your support of the Sunshine & Dreams Fund. We are constantly encouraged by your prayers and the generosity of our friends, family and communities. |
